Learning Blog (December 1st, 2014)

(Sorry my internet was down Yesterday so I'll be posting on the blog today, yesterday's work)

What did we do?
Today in class, we gave in our learning logs (which were long overdue). We talked about our learning intention.
Why did we do it?
What can make us be better learners since our class has a hard time handing in homework. We all talk about why and how we can improve handing in homework on time and with effort, after this we started asking for study buddies. Study buddies are basically buddies that study with you, enough said. We find at least 2 study buddies and we share phone numbers and e-mails, we discuss when we can call e-mail for help. We also had watched a video with Ms Lees called The Surprising Truth about What Motivates Us. It was a very good video and it introduced us to many different ways of motivation.
Reflections, etc.
Moving on, we came back to the topic of how we could improve our homework assignments and we said why people might look like they're listening, but they're not. This goes to show that when Ms Lees is talking and we are "listening" the information goes through one ear and out the other. My opinion on how we could pay more attention in class is that Ms Lees should look at everyone's eyes. If their eyes are not facing straight forward to the speaker, then Ms Lees will stop everyone and call on that one person's name saying they had to pay attention, therefore stopping every time someone is not focusing. This means we will be embarrassing the people who do not pay attention and they will remember next time that if they don't look at the board, your fellow peers will look at you and you wouldn't want that, would you?
